  28. Possible comm port irq conflict?  Com4 and Com2 by default share IRQ 3.

  30. Also, com4 has a conflict with some S3 video cards.

  32. I usually like to see modems on Com2 if possible.  If internal, and you can
  33. find how to disable your normal Com2 port, try setting the modem to Com2, 
  34. IRQ3.
